| Bio: | born in Ohio, raised in Ohio, schooled in Indiana ... yet somehow retaining the remnants of certain European tastes and sensibilities inmeshed with a comfortable goofiness that my students find at once entertaining, relaxing, invigorating and unnerving. I don't teach to have friends. I teach to have fun. We sing, play games, and they take dictation (which I find fun). I tell jokes that help to cement knowledge and get it into their brains, like meme larvae (ewwwwwwwww) ... I teach French, Greek/Roman Myth and also Foreign Cultures!, a course designed for the less academically fortunate, Primary Learning Disabled and Emotionally Disturbed children and such. They're good kids, they just need a structured room and enough interesting things to keep them occupied enough such that they don't set things on fire, burst ketchup packets everywhere or punch each other until they vomit (I'm told this can happen) ... I enjoy it. | |
